150 g butter (room temperature)
250 grams of sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt
8 drops of bitter almond flavor (if you don't like the marzipan flavor, you can replace the bitter almond flavor with vanilla flavor)
6 eggs (room temperature)
150 g of flour
400 g finely ground almonds
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Icing sugar for dusting

Beat the butter with a mixer until peaks form. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, flavoring and eggs, beat everything until frothy. Sift the flour and baking powder together, alternately fold into the butter mixture with the almonds. Pour the dough into a greased pan, bake at 190 ° C for about 40 minutes.
Gourmet tip
Traditionally, the Tarta de Santiago is dusted with powdered sugar, with a Jacob's cross left free.
